It was a study in contrasts on Knox Mountain today with blue skies and fog rolling in like we were off the coast of Newfoundland.
Lots more fog from the top.
We used to call these columns of rainbow-like colours, sun dogs. Not sure if this is correct, but I do know the phenomenon is caused by ice crystals in the atmosphere.
