Day 7 - Okamino and Beyond

Albert Koehl walked the entire perimeter of Toronto recently after his unsuccessful bid in the Toronto municipal election campaign. His walk was of interest to me because some his observations resonated with mine. You can read about his adventure at the Toronto Star's website. The title of the article is:"Walking the edge of Toronto in five days and 175,000 steps"

It is Christmas, so we walked to the mall to investigate the possibility of a certain gift.  It has stopped raining today and it's +2C. The sidewalks are slippery nevertheless.

When flying over the Great Lakes in the spring, you see something like this. This, however, are cracks in the white crosswalk.

Coffee is needed, once a day at least. Amazing since I only started drinking coffee about three years ago.

From the mall we headed towards downtown via Springfield, Kirschner  and across Hwy 97 on the overpass. Higher than I thought.

Charming houses on Bernard are decorated for the season. Monster tree, monster bow.

Ogopogo is everywhere.

Tasty hot dog and smoky from the Wafelicious stand near the Stuart Park skating rink. Good conversation with Carla who has just started working here. Stay warm folks.

Walked about 14 kms today.
