At my favourite Ponderosa pine tree a branch hangs over the slope like a brown and green extended hand framing the city below. Another day hovering at or below zero with fog making the trail sloppy and me thankful for my ice trekkers.
Past the top pavilion towards the down slope to Paul's tomb fewer people have hiked here and the trail is a narrow trench between walls of wet snow. I bet it's sunny at Big White. If this continues, I will have to go downhill skiing for some sun.
